The Bard is coming to where the rivers meet in the City of Binghamton this summer.

Officials with the Cider Mill Playhouse and BingPop Creative have announced the first ever Shakespeare by the River to launch the Revel on the River series.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed at Confluence Park Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 25 at 2 p.m., dependent on the weather.

The performances are free but donations will be accepted for the Cider Mill Playhouse.

The audience should bring blankets and lawn chairs. But attendees should be mindful when placing lawn chairs that they could be view-blockers.

The series is being supported by the City of Binghamton’s Economic Development Office, Broome County, Visions Federal Credit Union and New York State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo.
