Binghamton Bearcats freshman point guard Sam Sessoms has earned America East Rookie of the Week honors for the second time in the past three weeks.  Sessoms, from the Shipley School in Philadelphia, Pa. averaged 19 points per game and grabbed 7.5 rebounds in two Bearcat games last week.

Sessoms scored on 45 percent of his shots and handed out an average of 3.5 assists per game...several set-ups of highlight reel variety.  Currently, he is 10th in the nation among freshmen student athletes scoring average accounting for 17.8 points per game.

Over his brief six-game college career Sessoms has scored in double figures in every outing.  Sessoms came to the Bearcats after a standout high school career and in his senior season averaged 29 points per contest.  He will lead the Bearcats into action at West Point on Wednesday night when the Bearcats face Army at 7:30 (air at 7:15 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
