All five classifications in Section 4 High School Football will decide championships this weekend.  All games will be played at Alumni Stadium in Binghamton.  Two contests will be played on Friday and three more on Saturday.

On Friday the "D" championship will pit Sidney against Tioga.  Sidney is 8-1. In the latest New York State Sportswriters Association rankings Sidney is ranked 4th and Tioga checks in at number 11.

In the Class "A" game the Vestal Golden Bears (5-3) meet the Union-Endicott Tigers who are 8-1...their only loss on a last-second 32 yard field goal against Vestal.

On Saturday the first of three games begins at noon when the "C" teams tangle.  Top-ranked Newark Valley carries a perfect 9-0 slate into action against 6-3 Oneonta.

At 3 PM the undefeated Chenango Forks Blue Devils face 7-2 Norwich for the Class B crown. Norwich is ranked 19th in the state and defeated Maine-Endwell last weekend to advance.

At 6 PM the Binghamton Patriots put their 6-3 mark on the line against 5-4 Elmira.

Winners this weekend advance to the state quarterfinals to be played next weekend at Union-Endicott and Ty Cobb Stadium.;
