New York State Police say an Otsego County woman is accused of fraudulently using the debit card of a person she was being paid to assist.

38-year-old Crystal Ray of Richfield Springs is charged with felony identity theft and two counts of grand larceny as well as misdemeanor criminal possession of personal identification. 

State Police were called last November about fraudulent charges on the victim’s card and it was determined Ray, who was caring for the victim at their home, had obtained credit card information unlawfully and spent over $2,300 using the victim’s personal information.

Ray was released on her own recognizance.
