Ramsaran Murder Trial Starts

The trial is getting underway for a Chenango County man for the death of his wife in December of 2012.

Jury selection is starting in Norwich for the murder trial of Ganesh Remy Ramsaran.

The man had reported his wife, Jennifer had disappeared after she said she was going to Syracuse to shop.

Her body was found in February by the side of a road in Pharsalia.

Her husband was arrested in May of last year. Ramsaran has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Court records show the man had to find a new lawyer after two attorneys asked to be dismissed from the case since Ramsaran owe thousands of dollars in legal and expert fees.
