Norwich Police say they found pounds of marijuana after getting a report of a child crying at a home on Mitchell Street at around 4:30 a.m. August 31.

Police say 34 year old Wilson Hatton Senior of Sidney, 30 year old Heath Oaks of Cincinnatus and 32 year old Wayne Church Senior of Norwich were found in possession of over ten pounds of pot.

Police say a four year old boy was at the scene yelling for his father.  The child told authorities he had been left alone in a parked car and got out to look for his dad.

The boy’s father, Wilson Hatton was found coming out of the basement of a Mitchell Street Home were police say they found the large amount of marijuana in various growth and processing stages.

Hatton and Oaks were sent to the Chenango County Jail on $10,000 bail while Church was sent to jail without bail since authorities said he was a parolee.

All three were charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana while Hatton was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
