A 31-year-old town of Fenton man agreed to a plea deal just before his trial on methamphetamine charges was to get underway.

Prosecutors say Brett Poyer of Port Crane pleaded guilty to all five counts in a February indictment handed up by a Broome County grand jury.

Poyer and 30-year-old Jodi Bickos were taken into custody January 23 after investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Rogers Road.

Police had said they seized about 2.2 pounds of meth during the raid.

Poyer entered guilty pleas to two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and three misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Authorities said the Poyer "meth ring" had ties to Georgia and other locations in the eastern United States.

Poyer is to be sentenced to six to fourteen years in prison. Sentencing has been scheduled for October 18.
