Owego Man Jailed After Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian

A driver was arrested after a man was hit by a vehicle in the village of Owego.
Authorities say 32-year-old Joshua Brown of Owego was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
According to village police, 59-year-old Gene Johns of Owego was hit by a southbound vehicle on North Avenue near the intersection of West Avenue.
The collision happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday (March 16).
Police say Johns was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Brown was arraigned in Owego village court and sent to Tioga County Jail on $2,500 bail.
