One person was reported injured following a vehicle collision at the entrance to the McDonald's restaurant on Main Street in Johnson City.

The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. A Kia sport utility vehicle collided with a Toyota Corolla.

The Kia came to a rest near a sign pole in front of the business at 339 Main Street. The air bags in the Toyota were deployed.

Johnson City firefighters worked to extricate a passenger in the Toyota. An EMS crew with Union Volunteer Emergency Squad assisted at the scene.

Although both vehicles involved in the crash were off the roadway, police and fire vehicles at the scene slowed traffic on Main Street.
