Northeastern Pennsylvania Business Destroyed by Explosive Fire
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit says the cause of a fire that destroyed a Wayne County business may never be known.
The Equinunk Fire Company responded to the blaze on Great Bend Turnpike when fire broke out at Bill Pykus and Sons Excavating Inc.
The owner, who lives nearby, heard a loud explosion at around 1a.m. March 6 and found one of the garage bays fully involved in fire.
The flames spread quickly and the building was totally destroyed.
Officials say several salt and plow trucks, construction and logging vehicles were destroyed.
