No Official Cause Yet for Legends Golf Fire

Officials are still looking for the cause of a fire that destroyed the Legends Year Round Golf Center February 14.

The business has posted online that the fire appeared to have started in the rear of the building near the heated golf tees but no official cause has been listed.

There were no injuries. The building is a total loss.

Broome County Emergency Services officials say, at one point, it’s believed that up to 15 fire units were on the scene on Dimmock Hill Road in the Town of Union.

The fire was reported at about 5:30 p.m. and was out in around an hour.
