The Niagara University Purple Eagles scored twice in the closing 2:34 of the contest and topped the Binghamton Bearcats 11-9 in women's lacrosse on Sunday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex in Vestal.

Rebecca Golderman scored two goals and added a pair of assists to key the Binghamton offense.  Taylor Passuello made 18 saves in goal for the Bearcats.

The teams went to halftime even at 5-5.  Niagara outscored Binghamton 6-4 in the second half to secure the victory.

The Bearcats head to Colgate on Wednesday in a 5:00 P.M. start.  The Raiders scored a huge win over tenth-ranked Syracuse to open the season.  The Bearcats played the Orange in the Carrier Dome last week and lost 15-5.
