New York State Police Seize Over 100 Pounds of Pot in Traffic Stop on I81

New York State Police say they seized 116 POUNDS of marijuana in a traffic stop on Interstate 81 in Cortland County.

A Trooper noticed a vehicle driving really slowly and failing to maintain a northbound lane in the Town of Preble shortly before 11:30 Monday night and stopped 23-year-old Mateo Vargas Vega of Flushing where they found the copious quantity of cannabis in the car.

Vargas Vega was released after arraignment on a charge of felony marijuana possession.

He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Preble Court at a later date.
