Weather may be a contributing factor to a crash involving a tractor trailer and a sedan on Interstate 81 in Northern Broome County early November 2.

New York State Police say the rig collided with the car on the northbound interstate in the Lisle/Whitney Point area at around 2:40 a.m., blocking the right-hand lane for a time.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries while the driver of the truck wasn’t hurt.

Authorities did not have information what cargo was in the tractor trailer but said none of it spilled and there were no hazardous materials involved.
