The Binghamton Bearcats were defeated by the New Hampshire Wildcats in Durham, New Hampshire by a final score of 66-48.  The Bearcats were down by seven points at the half but were outdistanced by a 36-25 margin in the second half to suffer the loss.

The Bearcats are showing the effects of the long season as they were missing Justin McFadden who is out with pneumonia, Nick Madray who is still recovering from torn ligaments in his ankle and leading scorer Dusan Perovic who suffered a season-ending knee injury,  In addition forward Bobby Ahearn had limited minutes suffering from a lingering virus.

Marlon Beck and Ahearn both scored in double figures with 10 points apiece.  New Hampshire had four players score in double figures including 14 points from both Tanner Liessner and Matt Miller.

With the win New Hampshire ups its America East record to 9-4 which puts them in third place.  The Bearcats drop to 3-10.

The February 14 game could have been a preview of a first round playoff game as the Bearcats are currently in sixth place.  In the first round of the playoffs the sixth place team travels to play the third place team.
