A new administrator has been appointed for the Willow Point Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Vestal.

Ryan LaClair has been chosen to oversee the 300-bed facility on Vestal Road which is operated by Broome County government.

County Executive Jason Garnar announced the selection of LaClair on Tuesday. LaClair most recently was an administrator at a facility in Jefferson County. He also has served as administrator of Absolut Care in Endicott.

LaClair's appointment must be approved by the Broome County Legislature. According to a county news release, LaClair, his wife and three children will live in Vestal.

The Willow Point post became vacant in June when administrator Kevin Carey resigned. Denise Johnson has been serving as the interim administrator at Willow Point while a search was underway.
