The Discovery Center in Binghamton is ready to open their doors to kids beginning this Friday July 31st

Executive Director Jessi Stone says “We know that children need to play now more than ever” The Discovery Center will put safety protocols into place to keep children safe while giving them a place to learn and have fun.

The Discovery Center has been providing a place for children to explore while using their imagination in various ways for almost 40 years

In preparation for re-opening The Discovery Center has put the following procedures into place including limited hours of operation, with limitations to 25% occupancy.

Contact information will be required for each visitor and reservations are required, even for members.

The Discovery Center will also reconfigure some areas to provide more space for social distancing, and mask are required for anyone over two years of age, and hand sanitizer will be available throughout all areas

There will be touched toy bins in each area and once a toy has been touched, we asked the toy be put in the touched toy bins

The center asked that if you or any member of your family are not feeling well that you should stay home and monitor the situation.

The Discovery Center is located in Binghamton’s Historic Ross Park it is a hands on interactive museum for children that houses over 30 exhibits in its 22.500 square foot facility.

Reduced admission prices will be available the end of August.
