Discovery Center Helps Support Local Restaurants

Local restaurants have taken a beating over the past year with the Pandemic all but completely shutting down business throughout our country.

The Discovery Center in Binghamton has teamed up with Andy Papaleo from AP Entertainment to host a virtual trivia event called “Love Your Local Restaurants”.

The event promotes take out ordering from local restaurants in Broome County beginning the week of Sunday January 24^th through Saturday January 30^th.

The “Love Your Local Restaurants” offers people who order take out from the eight participating restaurants, a ticket to join AP entertainment’s virtual Team Trivia, that will be help on Saturday January 30^th at 8pm.

According to a news release from the Discovery Center, AP Entertainment owner and Guinness Book of World records holder Andy Papaleo said ‘We wanted to create a fun, responsible, and safe way to promote our local restaurants who have supported both the Discovery Center, and AP Entertainment, during the trying times the last 9 months.

People whop order take out from the participating restaurants during the specified week will receive a Zoom invite to compete against others in the area with some fun trivia to help our local restaurants.

Papaleo promises some added surprises, and will even have a local band to play clues to some of the answers.

Tickets will be given out the week of Sunday January 24^th through Saturday January 30^th at the following local restaurants;
