Additional job cuts apparently have occurred at Endicott Interconnect Technologies this week.

Several sources have reported more employees were laid off by the company in recent days.

EIT has laid off hundreds of workers over the past few years.

The company was formed just over a decade ago when IBM Corporation shed its Endicott microelectronics operations.

EIT initially employed about 2,000 people. But the company laid off 200 of them just two weeks after it officially started business in November 2002.

Endicott Interconnect Technologies human resources director Annamaria Mastronardi has not returned calls from WNBF News seeking information about the reported series of workforce reductions.
