Minor Urban Flooding Possible in Twin Tiers
The National Weather Service says some minor flooding is possible as heavy rain could hit already saturated ground in the Twin Tiers.
Forecasters say a cold front moving through the region pulling in tropical moisture gives the potential for localized urban and small stream flooding.
NOAA is projecting rainfall totals October 11 between ¾ and an inch. Puddling of water on roadways was already being seen in downtown Binghamton by 6:30 a.m.
The system moves out of the area overnight, ushering cooler, more Autumn-like temperatures.
