Members of the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force and Deputies have been pulling weeds, as in marijuana.

Authorities say Wednesday, August 3 County Sheriff’s officials with assistance from the Homer Police Department, New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement team, State Police Aviation Unit and the SUNY Cortland Police went to five areas in the county looking for marijuana grow sites that had been reported.

As a result, around 130 marijuana plants were pulled up.

Investigators are continuing to follow up on leads.
