Man Critically Injured in Delaware County Slashing

A man is said to be in critical condition after being slashed in the midsection with a knife during an incident in Delaware County.

New York State Police say the 36-year-old was transported to Albany Medical Center while several people at the home on Spruce Street in the Village of Roxbury were said to be cooperating with the investigation. 

The man's name has not been released

The incident was reported at 6:20 p.m. May 27.  State Police say there is no threat to the public.

Troopers were assisted by the Roxbury Constable and fire and emergency medical services.

No details concerning the incidents leading up to the slashing have been released.

The investigation is continuing.
