Man Accused of Stealing and Trying to Cash a Check

Johnson City man is accused of stealing a check from a woman, forging a signature and trying to cash it.

The teller at the bank would not give 31 year old Tom Sanders the money and the owner of the check contacted police.

Sanders was found at his home and arrested.

He is charged with felony forgery and felony identity theft.

Sanders was sent to the Broome County Jail.
