Local Residents Get SNAP Benefits Early

The Broome County Department of Social Services says its been getting a lot of calls regarding Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits with the partial Federal government shutdown.

Officials say most SNAP recipients have gotten their full February benefits early and should budget accordingly.

Information is available through the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance office.
