Authorities say 23-year-old Michael Robbs of Johnson City was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. He also was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to yield the right of way and driving the wrong way on a divided highway.

The charges are in connection with a two-car crash that happened around 9:40 p.m. on June 5. The collision occurred on Reynolds Road near the entrance to the Taco Bell restaurant.

One of the vehicles involved left the scene. An officer responding to the scene spotted a damaged car matching the description of the vehicle that was involved on Harry L Drive.

Police say Robbs was observed to be in "an intoxicated condition." He was later released and ordered to appear in Johnson City village court on June 21.
