A Johnson City man faces up to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to 12 counts of distributing child pornography.

United States Attorney Richard Hartunian and Special Agent in Charge from the Department of Homeland Security, James Spero, say 34 year old Jared Flanders entered the plea in Federal Court in Binghamton Friday, March 17, admitting he distributed child pornography videos and images via the internet.

In addition to prison time, Flanders could be fined up to $250,000 dollars and ordered to up to life on supervised release.

Sentencing is set for July 19.
