The New York Giants pulled off an improbable comeback this past Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals.  It was one of the biggest comebacks in franchise history for the Gmen and they had been outscored 60-0 in six quarters.  Head coach Brian Daboll lit a fire under his team at halftime because they stormed out and looked like a completely different football team in the second half.  That old cliché saying in sports is that games can be a tale of two halves and you saw that in Arizona on Sunday.  The Giants outscored the Cardinals 31-8 in the second half and Daniel Jones silenced several doubters.  He was accurate and composed and involved several different weapons on the offense.  The defense is still a concern though however with having allowed 60 points and to recording a sack yet this season.

The win was overshadowed by a Saquon Barkley ankle injury.  He suffered an "ordinary" ankle sprain.  he is expected to miss this Thursday's game at the San Francisco 49ers and could miss a few more too.  He did avoid any apparent significant injuries which is good news for the Giants and their fans.  Saquon has had such a string of bad luck with injuries and the Giants are a better team with him out there on the field.

This will be a tough matchup for big blue as the 49ers might be the best overall team in the entire NFL.  They have an elite defense and have a very good young quarterback in Brock Purdy.  I hope the Giants can keep it close and pull off the upset but it will be tough.
