TSA Is Hiring Security Screening Officers in Binghamton and Ithaca
If you’ve ever wondered how a person lands a job working for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as a security screening officer and if a job like that would be good for you, this is your opportunity to find out.
In anticipation of busy spring and summer travel seasons, the Transportation Security Administration is looking to add more people to work at the Greater Binghamton Airport in Binghamton and at Ithaca Tompkins International Airport in Ithaca.
Available openings are both full and part time with a starting salary of $36,821 a year for those who are hired before July of 2023. The annual pay will then increase in July to $37,696.

Once a TSA officer has been on the job for a year beyond July 1, 2023, the yearly salary increases to $46,245 and after two years from hire date, the salary jumps again to $57,117 per year.

No previous experience working in an airport, for the Transportation Security Administration, or in law enforcement is necessary. All training for new hires is provided by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and is paid training.
