On Friday, May 9th, the Binghamton Black Bears became the first team to #RunItBack. and repeat as champions in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL). They claimed the Commissioner's Cup when they skated by the Carolina Thunderbirds 5-2, sweeping the best-of-five series.

The Binghamton Black Bears Finals Game Highlights

The Thunderbirds jumped out fast and showed that they weren't going to fly away easily when Kalib Ford scored early for the Thunderbirds, to take a lead 1-0. However, the Black Bears quickly came back when C.J. Stubbs scored off a fantastic pass from Tyson Kirkby to tie the score at 1-1.

The momentum continued as Austin Thompson found the back of the net to give the Black Bears a 2-1 lead, with an assist from goalie Connor McAnanama. The biggest cheer of the night (besides at the final horn) was when it was announced that McAnanama had an assist in the game.
