Ithaca Man Accused of DWI with Child in Car

A Tompkins County man faces a felony charge for alleged drunken driving with his three-year-old daughter in the vehicle.

Authorities say 26-year-old Kyaw Lay of Ithaca was arrested late Saturday (March 26).

According to state police, Lay was observed driving across hazard markings on Route 13 in the Town of Cortlandville.

Lay was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 16. He also was cited for other traffic violations.

Investigators say Lay's blood alcohol content was measured at 0.13 percent.

Lay was ordered to appear in Cortlandville town court on April 11.
