The Binghamton Bearcats are off to their best start since 2005-06 and a big reason why is senior guard Imani Watkins.  Watkins has been selected as the America East Player of the Week for the second straight week and third time this season.

In Binghamton's lone game last week Watkins scored 24 points to pace Binghamton to an 80-64 victory over Dartmouth.  She continues to lead the conference in scoring averaging 20.9 points per game.  That is good for 21st place in the nation in Division I play.

Besides her scoring prowess Watkins is second in America East in steals with 2.77 per game.  She now has tied former Binghamton standout Rachel Laws with four career conference Player of the Week honors.

Watkins has scored a career total of 1740 points good for third place in school history and 19th on the all-time America East list. Watkins is accustomed to America East honors.  She also earned Rookie of the Week honors three times as a freshman.
