Husband, Wife Charged in Child Porn Investigation

Authorities say a Delaware County couple face felony charges following an investigation into a child pornography complaint.

State police say 28-year-old Justin Crandall of Sidney allegedly sent sexually-explicit photographs of a young child to someone.

Crandall was charged with first-degree rape and promoting a sexual performance by a child under the age of 17. He also was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say Crandall's wife, 27-year-old Jessica Crandall, also was arrested. They alleged she had sexually abused a child under the age of 11. She was charged with first-degree criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say Justin and Jessica Crandall were arraigned in Sidney village court. They both were sent to Delaware County Jail.

State police say the Sidney Police Department provided assistance during the three-day investigation.
