A man who says he is homeless and was just released from New York State Parole is accused of stealing an Endicott woman’s credit card from her home and using it at Lowes in Vestal, the Johnson City Walmart, a McDonalds and several convenience stores.

38 year old Michael Gumaer was arrested September 29 after authorities learned he may be walking around in the Endicott area. They picked him up on Washington Avenue.

Authorities say they found Gumaer was in possession of 3 grams of methamphetamine as well as the clothing seen on surveillance video.

Gumaer is charged with felony counts of forgery and identity theft, four felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance.  He was also wanted on a warrant from the City of Binghamton.

Gumaer was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
