Owego Woman Charged with Evidence Tampering & Drug Possession
An Owego woman is facing a felony charge following a traffic stop in Tioga County.
Owego Police say they pulled 32-year-old Karla Craft over last week for failing to stop at a red light and ended up charging her with several counts before turning her over to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Craft is charged with felony Tampering with Evidence. She is also charged with misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (in the Seventh Degree), misdemeanor Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle (in the Third Degree) and the violation of Failure to Stop on a Red Light.
Owego Police issued Craft Appearance Tickets returnable to Village of Owego Court but police say they also found she was wanted on a warrant in Cortland County and she was turned over to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for arraignment at Cortland County Centralized Arraignment Court.
In the initial traffic stop, Owego Police did not say what drugs or the amount of illegal substance the Owego woman was found to have in her possession.
