Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell this morning tells WNBF News that a police officer, who was done with his shift, located the weapon used in a shooting at the Oasis Bar on Harry L. Drive at Pearl Avenue at 1:38 a.m. January 10.

Cornwell says the gun was found on Pearl Avenue by a police officer who had already finished his shift for the day.

Johnson City Police say 29-year-old Francisco Maysonet of Turner Falls, Mass. was apprehended shortly after the shooting. He was located by Broome County Sheriff's Deputies and New York State Police after he had fled the scene.

Maysonet is charged with felony counts of attempted murder and criminal use of a firearm.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken by a private vehicle to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was last reported in critical condition.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Johnson City Police Detectives at (607) 798-9318.
