On a picture perfect day the 2014 Greater Binghamton Airshow came to an end this afternoon.  The U S Army Golden Knights brought the show to a close with precision parachute landings.  Sunny skies and temperatures near 80 greeted visitors to the first show at the Airport in five years.

Tioga Downs Casino underwrote this year's show .  Along with various aerial displays and performances there were a number of static displays as well.  One that drew a large crowd  was the C-54 Transport that flew supplies to Berlin during the Berlin Airlift in the late 1940's.  Other displays included the 1941 Historic Aircraft Group and the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum.

The Airshow began last evening and included a night-time fireworks show.  One of the most popular performances was Team Aerodynamics, an aerial acrobatic team.  The participating U S Army Golden Knights Parachute Team received a big round of applause as they were introduced to the crowd.
