The Goodwill Theatre and the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage has brought back their annual raffle to support their programs and services.

I spoke with Niama Kradjian from the Goodwill Theatre on WNBF’s First news about the annual raffle and updates on the Goodwill Theatre and Schorr Family Firehouse Stage in Johnson City.

The annual Goodwill Theatre is normally done in the summer months but because of the pandemic, the staff was shut down in April and not able to run the raffle.

Kradjian said we have brought the staff back and made the raffle even better with more prizes and more tickets, because we were not able to hold many of our annual events that help us stay solvent.

The raffle is going on now through November 30th and ticket purchasers have a chance at winning $10,000, $2,500, or $1,000 in cash prizes.

Tickets are $100 each and there are a limited amount of 500 tickets available for purchase.

Kradjian says there are also gift prizes from The Goldsmith, Mirabito, Hanks for Her, Ellis Brothers and Sall Stearns.

The tickets will be pulled on December 1st  and the drawings can be watched on Facebook live, between 5:30p and 7:30p, and you must be at least 18 years of age to purchase tickets.

Tickets can be purchased on the Goodwill Theatre website HERE or by calling 607 772 2404 ext 301

Kradjian says “ some people get confused, the Goodwill Theatre building is not open yet ,as they are stabilizing the venue, but the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage has been open for the past twelve years, and has been growing every year”.

Kradjian said our audience grows about 15 percent every year, and the money from the donation and fundraisers goes to the programs, and all the things that keep the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage up and running.

Niama said they have rescheduling many of the performers that were not able to come to the theater during the pandemic, so look for some exciting things to come.
