GB Chamber Looking for YP Nominees for HYPE Awards

The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce is looking for Nominations for this year’s HYPE Awards, the event recognizes the area’s Young Professionals in various industries.

Do you know a young professional in the Greater Binghamton community, possibly as a mentor, or a successful individual, who also serves the community outside of their profession.

According to a news release the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce is asking for the public’s help in nominating young professionals in the following categories.

Education and Training, Business, Non-Profit, Service Industry, Creative, Law and Government, Health and Wellness. STEM and Mentor to a Young Professional and Skilled Trades.

Nominee qualifications for the Industry Award include, someone under the age of 40, who currently works at a company in the Greater Binghamton area, and demonstrates initiative and creativity in their profession, while contributing time to a service in the community that is separate from their business or profession.

There is no age requirement for the “Mentor to the Young Professional Award.

The nominations must be submitted by Sunday May 16, 2021, the top three finalists from each of the categories will have their story on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

The Third annual HYPE awards will be Thursday July 15, 2021 at Riverdale Banquet hall from 5:30p to 7:30p, all our welcome to attend this community event to celebrate our future generation of leaders

There is no age requirement for the “Mentor to a YP” Award. The rest of the criteria are the same. The deadline for nominations is Sunday, May 16. The top three finalists from each category will have their story shared with our community via the Chamber’s Facebook Page.

The HYPE Awards celebration will take place on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Riverdale Banquet Hall from 5:30 - 7:30pm and will include hors-d'oeuvres, cash bar, and a special awards presentation. Everyone is invited to take part in this community event to celebrate our area’s next generation of leaders.
