The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce and local businesses will hold an entire day to honoring the talents of business women in the community.

THRIVE 2021 will take place from 8:30am to 4pm on Wednesday June 16th  at the Double Tree by Hilton on Water Street in Binghamton.

The keynote speaker will feature a virtual presence this year by New York Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, who will share her visions and experiences with other female business leaders in the community.

Hochul started her career as a local town board member and served as Erie County Clerk, before becoming a member of congress in the 26th congressional district.

In the release Greater Binghamton Chamber president and CEO Stacey Duncan said “We are thrilled to have Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul offer our keynote. She has been a supporter of Upstate communities for years and we look forward to her personal and professional insights as a female leader.”

Duncan also stated the Thrive event was made possible through a joint effort from many business women around our community and was created to feature personal and professional programs and to celebrate the amazing women that have made this community what it is today.

Topics in the various sessions include Strategies for Turning a No into a Yes, Making Yourself a Priority” and Empowering the Next Generation of Women

The day will begin with some humor from Brooklyn New York’s’ nationally touring comedian Meghan Hanley

According to a news release those attending the event will have the option of in person which is based on current safety guidelines and a virtual option through Zoom.
