Garage Burns in Castle Creek

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a garage in Castle Creek.

The two-alarm blaze on Hyde Street was reported at around 10 p.m. December 6.

The property owner managed to get some items out of the garage but other vehicles were destroyed.

There were no injuries.

Fire crews from the Town of Chenango, Chenango Forks, Chenango Bridge and Whitney Point faced the challenge of a lack of an available hydrant near the fire scene.
