Two people wanted by the law, one in South Carolina and one in Florida are in custody in Cortland County.

Sheriff’s officials say they found 35 year old William Johnson of South Carolina when a Deputy saw a vehicle with an inadequate brake lamp Sunday.

Authorities say they found Johnson, who was a passenger in the vehicle stopped near the Ramada Inn on Pomeroy Street in Cortland was wanted for obtaining property worth more than $2,000 under false pretenses.

He’s being held in the Cortland County Jail without bail.

37 year old fugitive Michael Case of Starke Florida was picked up at 8:40 a.m. June 5 following a tip saying he had been seen in McGraw, where he used to live.

He had reportedly removed an ankle bracelet while under house arrest and fled Florida.

Case is being held in the Cortland County Jail without bail.
