Fred Couples Returns to En Joie for Dick’s Open

More golf greats are coming to compete in the 2019 Dick's Sporting Goods Open at En Joie Golf Course in Endicott.  Tournament week is August 12-18.  Tournament Director John Karedes announced today that three of the sports all-time greats have joined the field for the upcoming PGA Tour Champions Tournament.

Fan favorite and 1991 B C Open Champion Fred Couples has committed to play at the course where he won a title on the PGA Tour. Couples has had a storied career.  He has won 15 PGA Championships, 13 PGA Tour Championships and is a four-time President's Cup Champion and a five-time member of the Ryder Cup Team.  Couples has  won over 33 million dollars in his professional golf career and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Another B C Open Champion has committed to return this year.  1992 B C Open Champion  John Daly is coming back.  Daly, one of the game's longest drivers, has won five PGA Tournaments and one PGA Tour Champions title.

A third additional commitment announced today is World Golf Hall of Fame member Larry Nelson.  Nelson has won ten PGA Tour events and 19 on the PGA Tour Champions circuit.
