Authorities say four Bradford County residents are accused of breaking into an East Smithfield man’s home, assaulting him and attempting to steal money on Tuesday, June 7.

24 year old Isaac Clark and 19 year old Bryant Ashby, both of Milan as well as 20 year old Dakota Walters and 18 year old Bradley Stroud, both of Athens are implicated in the break-in shortly before 2 a.m.

Walters, Clark and Ashby are charged with assault, burglary, attempted robbery, criminal trespass, conspiracy, terroistic threats and other counts while Stroud is on the loose.  Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at (570) 265-2186.

The resident of the home on State Route 4014 told Troopers three men broke in, attempted to obtain money and physically assaulted him.

He was taken to Robert Packer Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the attack.

Walters, Clark and Ashby are being held in the Bradford County Jail on $75,000.
