As promised, a suggestion for the use of the left over Pinot Noir braised pot roast from November 4.

Pot Roast Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich (Prep time 10 minutes. Individual portions)

Left over Pinot Noir pot roast (posted 11/4/16)

½ onion, thinly sliced

1 Tb. olive oil

¼ C. Cheese Wiz (Seriously, that’s what they use in the authentic sandwich in Philadelphia)

Dice the sliced pot roast.  Heat oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat.  Cook the onions until tender and start to caramelize.  Add chopped beef and warm through.  Warm the roll in a toaster oven.  Microwave the cheddar cheese spread for 30 seconds, stir and heat a few more seconds until melted through.  Assemble the sandwich with beef, topped with onion and cheese sauce.
