Fire Causes Heavy Damage to Tioga County House

A late-night fire forced three people out of a Tioga County home.

Authorities say the blaze broke out in a house on Halsey Valley Road in the town of Tioga shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Flames had spread to much of the first floor of the two-story structure by the time the first firefighters arrived.

The fire was brought under control in less than fifteen minutes.
