Fire at Cortese Restaurant Causes No Major Damage

Binghamton firefighters responded to a fire at Cortese Restaurant at 117 Robinson Street shortly after 11:00 AM this (Monday) morning.  The fire was confined to a small area and firefighters had it extinguished quickly.  No injuries were reported.  The restaurant was closed for a brief period of time but reopened shortly after 1:00 PM.

Binghamton fire and police responded to the scene.  Robinson Street was blocked off for a short period of time between Alice and Griswald Streets.
