Binghamton Police Still Seek Tips in Three Death Investigations
Detectives in Binghamton are continuing to follow leads in three high-profile cases involving the death of young city residents.
No arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting of 12-year-old Aliza Spencer on April 21, 2022. A reward fund of $32,000 is in place for tips in connection with the late-night incident that happened near the girl's home on Bigelow Street on the city's East Side.
Aliza had been walking with her father and brother when she was shot in the chest.
Detective Captain Cory Minor said investigators have been working to develop new information in an effort to determine who was responsible for the girl's death.
Minor is encouraging anyone who has information that could be related to the shooting to contact city police. He's also urging people to come forward with any potential leads in connection with two deaths that occurred in Binghamton in February.
There have been no arrests in another deadly shooting. 20-year-old Qualyn Terry was killed when he was shot as he drove a car February 9 on Lewis Street near Mirabito Stadium.
Detectives still are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 29-year-old Tyler Beschorner. His body was found laying in the roadway of Route 363 around 2:45 a.m. February 17.
Minor said people with tips about any of the three cases may contact the Binghamton police detective bureau at (607) 772-7080.
