April 21st through the 26th, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies returned home to Mirabito Stadium for a six-game series with the Erie SeaWolves.

Game 1 - Tuesday, April 21 - SeaWolves - 3  Rumble Ponies - 2

The 6-game series kicked off on Tuesday, April 21st. The Rumble Ponies dropped the first game to the Erie SeaWolves  3-2, for their 3rd straight loss. Left-hander Zach Thornton pitched for six innings, the longest outing of the season for a Rumble Ponies pitcher. Thornton struck out six and walked one while just allowing two earned runs.  A.J. Ewing extended his on-base streak to twelve games.

Game 2 - Wednesday, April 22 - SeaWolves - 8  Rumble Ponies - 1

The Ponies lost game two, now having lost four straight games and eight of their last nine. Pitcher Will Watson set a season high for innings pitched, going 5.1 innings and allowing four earned runs, but aside from the three-run shot in the second inning, he settled in with six strikeouts and just one walk. Jacob Remier matched a career high of four hits, and Eli Serrano III has recorded eight extra-base hits in 14 games.

Game 3 - Thursday, April 23 - SeaWolves - 3  Rumble Ponies - 1

Another loss for the Rumble Ponies, dropping game three of the six-game series to the Erie SeaWolves 3-1, extending their five-game losing streak and nine-game losing streak. In this game, A.J. Ewing delivered with a first-pitch solo home run over the centerfield wall. It was his first Double-A home run in his 43rd game with Binghamton. Marco Vargas records his fourth multi-hit game.

Game 4 - Friday, April 24 - Rumble Ponies 10  SeaWolves - 2

Oh my. The Rumble Ponies bats came alive! During Prehistoric Night at the Stadium, it was a home run derby as the Ponies blasted four homers, the most in a game this season, thanks to Chris Suero, Nick Lorusso, A.J. Ewing, and Jose Ramos. Nick Lorusso was a triple shy of the cycle, Wyatt Young tallied a multi-hit game for his third multi-hit game of the year, and Brendan Girton got his first win and tallied season highs in innings and tied for strikeouts.

Game 5 - Saturday, April 25 - Rained Out - Doubleheader for Sunday

Game 5 - Sunday, April 26  SeaWolves - 5   Rumble Ponies - 1

Left-hander Jonathan Santucci made his fourth start of the season and went a season high 5.1 innings pitched and tied a season high with eight strikeouts, but did surrender four earned runs. The Ponies' offense left eight runners on base and were 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.

Game 6 - Sunday, April 26  Rumble Ponies - 5  SeaWolves - 2

In the first inning, A.J. Ewing and Marco Vargas hit back-to-back triples. Vargas was a home run shy of the cycle and now has four extra-base hits and has five multi-hit games. Jonathan Santucci set a season high for innings pitched and tied his season high for strikeouts.

On Monday, April 27th, the Mets organization promoted outfielder A.J. Ewing to the Triple -A Syracuse Mets.
The Rumble Ponies are now in Manchester, New Hampshire, at Delta Dental Stadium, beginning a 7-game series with the Fisher Cats beginning today, Tuesday, April 28th. It's a 7-game series because a doubleheader will take place on Wednesday, April 29, making up a rainout from earlier this month.
