Endwell Woman Named Volunteer of the Year
The New York State Office for Aging is recognizing an Endwell woman as this year’s Older Volunteer of the Year.
Jo Ann Freer has served in the community since 2000 according to the Broome County Office for Aging and began volunteering for the American Red Cross at the age of 12.
Freer has been a tax counselor for the AARP Tax Aide Program and helped develop a social program for isolated senior women among other activities.
Freer was selected for the recognition out of dozens of nominations.
