Endwell Drug Dealer Enters Plea, Avoids Trial
An Endwell drug dealer could face eight years in prison after agreeing to a last minute plea bargain.
The Broome County District Attorney’s Office says 47-year-old Peter Ruff pleaded guilty just before a pre-trial hearing November 21 to three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Ruff was arrested during a raid in Endwell in August and trial had been set for December 3.
According to the five-count indictment, Ruff was accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing cocaine with the intent to sell the narcotic.
The District Attorney’s Office says it will argue for the maximum of eight years in prison during sentencing in January.
